Perikles Katsaros and his family welcome new and old friends to Nikolas Taverna, one of the best loved and most frequented tavernas in Corfu.
We thought that you might be interested in learning something about the history of the taverna and the family.

Perikles and his family opened Kalami Tourist Services in 1986 as an information and exchange centre. Being the only office of its kind in the area, it served a need for tourists visiting the bay. Over the years the services it offers have been extended to include: day trips to and from Kassiopi and boat trips around Corfu. Quality accommodation owned by Perikles' family is offered in Kalami and the surrouding areas.

Trip to Mainland

Did you know the deepest canyon in the word is here in Greece? A 600m walk to the monastery of Agia Paraskevi, will give you a birds eye view of the Vikos gorge (2.950ft deep and 3.600ft wide) it is a truly spectacular sight. Also, you will get the chance to visit the capital of Epirus, Ioannina, and the Pamvotida Lake with the small island in the middle and of course through lush valleys and dense forests you will visit the traditional villages of Zagoria where the houses and roads are built entirely of stone.

The last trip took place at 23 of June and there are many more trips like that to go during the summer.

The celebration took place in the taverna with all Perikles friends who were at the time in Corfu (16^th of June).

It was such a nice evening for everyone.

Greek Night at NIKOLAS TAVERNA

For the last 34 years, every Thursday night a Greek night is held at Nikolas Taverna.

On that special night we offer to our guests live music, Greek dancing, lamb and chicken on spit, Greek meze, local house wine and homemade sweets.

A VEGETARIAN MENU IS ALSO OFFERED.
