Brief History
Perikles Katsaros and his
family welcome new and old friends to Nikolas Taverna, one of the
best loved and most frequented tavernas in Corfu.
We thought that you might be interested in learning something
about the history of the taverna and the family.
Perikles and his
family opened Kalami Tourist Services in 1986 as an information and
exchange centre. Being the only office of its kind in the area, it
served a need for tourists visiting the bay. Over the years the
services it offers have been extended to include: day trips to and
from Kassiopi and boat trips around Corfu. Quality accommodation
owned by Perikles' family is offered in Kalami and the surrouding
areas.

The End
Season trip to Peloponnisos
By the
end of the season, late October beginning of November, many of
Perikles’ friends traveled from England to Agni and stayed for a few
days in Nikolas Apartments, to participate in an adventurous and
(most important) friendly journey in Greek Peloponnisos, organized
by Nikolas Taverna and Kalami Tourist Services.
The group traveled to Kalavrita and then to Delphi where the most
famous ancient Greek Mantion (oracle) was.
“Delphi
is an archaeological site and a modern town. In ancient times it was
the site of the Delphic Sibyl, dedicated to the god Apollo. Delphi
was revered throughout the Greek world as the site of the Omphalos
stone, the centre of the universe”
But most importantly the group enjoyed the company of each other
with Perikles giving the signal of laughter and joy as always.
Another
trip to another part of Greece will be organized during (Greek)
Easter time for all Perikles’ friends who want to participate and
experience with him, something beyond the usual.
