A Brief History
Perikles Katsaros and his family welcome new and old friends to Nikolas Taverna, one of the best loved and most frequented tavernas in Corfu.
We thought that you might be interested in learning something about the history of the taverna and the family.

Perikles and his family opened Kalami Tourist Services in 1986 as an information and exchange centre. Being the only office of its kind in the area, it served a need for tourists visiting the bay. Over the years the services it offers have been extended to include: day trips to and from Kassiopi and boat trips around Corfu. Quality accommodation owned by Perikles' family is offered in Kalami and the surrouding areas.

Dear friends. We want to thank you very much for the relationship that we have through all these years.

With this newsletter we would like to let you know about the new site we are going to make. Our new site will be on, hopefully very soon.

A part of this new site will be the “guest photo gallery”. Our guest photo gallery will be “your own part” with photos of your own visits in Taverna “Nikolas” and photos of our friends.
This part of the site will be a practical thank for all of you that have been our dear friends, and a very rare chance for new friends to meet us all. So, please if you have any photographs of your visit in “Nikolas” Taverna please send them to us, to make them part of our guest photo gallery.

Janine and Karl decided to join their lives in Corfu and celebrate their wedding in “Nikolas Taverna” The place was specially decorated for the occasion and food and drink was plenty. Music and dancing was the peak of the night. It was a night that no one will ever forget.

JANINE AND KARL’S COMMENTS ABOUT THAT NIGHT:

“It was a wonderful pleasure for us to have our Wedding Reception at Taverna Nikolas, everything exceeded our expectations a thousandfold. Being greeted off of the boat with champagne and serenaded on the beach front was amazing. The flower arrangements and garlands around the tree trunks were beautiful, the food delicious as ever and the beautiful cake - we have never tasted such a cake! It was gorgeous, every detail was taken care of - we had nothing to think about except enjoying ourselves - 'no problem'! - and we thank you more than we would ever be able to express to you, your family & staff. Janine & Karl McEvilly 16 July 2006”
